What is Polyurethane (PU)?

Polyurethane (PU) stands for an important group of products within the big family of polymers or plastics. PU is a generic name for a wide range of foam types. Many polyurethane products – such as polyurethane foams – are made by combining two types of monomer units – isocyanates and polyols. You combine these separate monomers to make the polyurethane polymer. The great advantage of PU foam is its great flexibility in meeting the various applications and requirements. Polyurethane owns some extremely exceptional material qualities such as: density, elasticity, durability, weight, safety, design and of course its attractive price. Polyurethanes are versatile, modern and safe. They are used in a wide variety of applications to create all manner of consumer and industrial products that play a crucial role in making our lives more convenient, comfortable and environmentally friendly.

Rigid polyurethane and polyisocyanurate (polyiso) foams create one of the world’s most popular, energy-efficient and versatile insulations. Semi-Rigid PU Foam

The product, owning good reaction activity, can react with an amount of isocyanate to give reaction injection molding (RIM) urethane products. The cold cured and high resilient products made of the RIM urethane, such as cushions of automobile and transport means, steering wheels, dash-board and handles etc, and furniture, have good resilience, compression subsidence and comfortable feeling.
